Law Firm Assists Iowa Flood Victims

Northwestern Iowa is one of several communities Woods Fuller calls home. In addition to offices in Sheldon and Sioux Center, it is also where attorneys and staff live. It is home to many of our clients and where they operate their businesses. The devastation of recent flooding is almost unimaginable, yet for too many, it is reality.

With community being at the core of Woods Fuller’s values, employees immediately found a way to help, and help quickly. In less than a week, the firm collected a Wagoneer full of needed supplies. Lawrence and Schiller, a Sioux Falls based advertising agency, heard of the supply drive and donated as well. Earlier this week the donations were delivered to a local volunteer group responsible for coordinating the distribution of supplies to different town

Through its employee contributions program, Woods Fuller also gave a financial donation to Hope Haven. This non-profit provides homes for people with disabilities. Most of these homes were in Rock Valley and Spencer, Iowa – the two towns hit heaviest. Almost all of Hope Haven’s clients along with many employees have been displaced.

We recognize this donation meets just a small portion of the need for those living and working in these communities. We hope flood victims continue to get the support they need to rebuild.
