As we celebrate International Women's Day, Woods Fuller takes this opportunity to recognize and honor the contributions of our extraordinary female employees. These women bring a wealth of experience, expertise, and dedication to the firm and have helped to make us the thriving organization we are today. We are proud to have them as a part of our team and look forward to continuing to support their growth and success in the future.

We understand an inclusive environment is central to our strength as a firm.  At Woods Fuller, our percentage of female shareholders is well above the national average, and female shareholders represent more than half of our practice group leadership.

In addition, all current paralegals at Woods Fuller are women, and our Human Resources and Marketing departments are led by women holding director titles.

So on this International Women's Day, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our women employees. Your hard work, dedication, and passion are an inspiration to us all, and we are proud to have you as a part of the Woods Fuller family.

Below, some of the accomplished women at Woods Fuller share their thoughts on what working as a woman at Woods Fuller means to them.

"Being a new female associate at Woods Fuller, it is empowering to work with and be mentored by female attorneys who are incredibly dedicated and gifted at what they do."

Courtney Chapman, Associate Litigation

"The partners at Woods Fuller are intentional about encouraging women attorneys and respecting and supporting each woman’s choices for her own career development.  Those goals may be working a flexible schedule, growing a large book of business, pulling back for a season, or going for leadership positions.  I appreciate the support for each season of a career, which helps each attorney achieve her version of success."

"When I started working at Woods Fuller 23 years ago, there were a handful of female attorneys.  Since that time, Woods Fuller has continued to hire some of the best and brightest female attorneys, and we continue to do so.  Our female attorneys are leaders within the firm and the Sioux Falls community, and I am proud to be part of this amazing team of smart and strong women."

“I am proud to be part of the team of female attorneys at Woods Fuller and feel we have built an atmosphere where female leadership is not only welcomed but appreciated. I have always been treated equally and respectfully at Woods Fuller, just like every other member of the Woods Fuller family.”

As we celebrate International Women's Day, we hope that this serves as a reminder of the importance of recognizing and empowering women in the workplace. At Woods Fuller, we are committed to creating an environment where all employees can thrive, and we will continue to work towards this goal every day. So once again, thank you to all of our amazing women employees for your contributions and for making Woods Fuller the great place that it is. Happy International Women's Day!
