EXPERIENCE:
Since joining Woods Fuller law firm in 2000, Lisa has represented clients with a focus on estate planning, real estate transactions, and business law needs. She previously clerked with the Second Circuit Court in South Dakota and served as a staff attorney for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Iowa. She also served as the Past President of the Sioux Falls Estate Planning Council.
Lisa has been very actively involved in the local community, including the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation Grants Committee, USD Law School Development Council, the University of South Dakota Planned Giving Council, the Sioux Empire United Way, the Help! Line Center and the Avera Foundation Board.
Lisa has served as a guest presenter at Dakota Wesleyan University. In her presentation to students pursuing their University Graduate Certificate in Trust Management, she shares her experience and knowledge on the topics of Intestacy and Wills, with a focus on formalities and forms.
Lisa believes in service to community outside of her legal practice. She has served on the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation selection panel for the C.J. “Del” and Alene Delbridge Endowment. The fund supports programs that assist economically or socially disadvantaged people of character overcome obstacles to achieve their potential. Lisa also served on the Opening Doors grant selection committee for the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation. She also volunteered at the Hawthorne Elementary School for over a decade. While Lisa loves spending time with her four dogs and two step-children, she also enjoys traveling. Lisa is well known for her physical fitness and body-building competition successes.
