Woods Fuller welcomed Shelly to the firm in 2007 as a general civil litigation attorney.  She remains focused in the areas of family law, government liability, and civil litigation.

Following law school, Shelly was honored to clerk for the South Dakota Supreme Court in Pierre before joining the firm.  Since then, she has appeared before the Supreme Court and conducted numerous trials and hearings.

Shelly is active with Women In Law, as well as the South Dakota State Bar Negligence and Tort Law and Family Law Committees.  In addition, she is a member of the South Dakota Claims Association and the South Dakota Defense Lawyers Association.

Outside of the courtroom, Shelly remains busy as an active parent of four children “who are involved in almost every activity available” and tries to catch as many Twins, Vikings, and Timberwolves games as time allows.
